If you ask a couple why they chose their wedding venue, they usually talk about a particular feature. For Andy and Rachael, it was the river, but not just any river. The Saint Vrain, of which Andy grew up fishing, and continues to, now with his wife. The river was so important to them both that I felt it needed to be a part of their first kiss photo, which you’ll see below. Having done our Allenspark engagement session only a few miles down the road from Wild Basic Lodge, it was fun to shoot the area a second time.
Both Andy and Rachael are so relaxed, easy going, and fun to work with. Their wedding day was filled with emotion, laughter and even a few guests from across the world… who Skyped in to watch the festivities. As the day progressed, the clouds continued to roll in, holding true to Colorado weather. Fortunately, we were able to snap some fantastic photos before the rain hit. Also, we can now say that we’ve put a bride…. in the river… on her wedding day.
Thanks again you both for an awesome day together. It was a blast shooting your wedding and enjoy the photos.
