I had the honor of capturing this beautiful family’s photos this summer.  The Laird family made the long trip from Utah to visit some colleges Erin is looking at attending next year.  I was more than thrilled to hear they were going to visit Colorado as they were my ‘family’ while I attended college at Weber State in Utah.

When I made the trip out to Utah for college (a long time ago), it was a hard transition for me and I found myself often homesick.  But, I soon met the Laird family at the church I was attending and they instantly adopted me.  I can’t tell you how much their support, love, long talks, endless laugh sessions and home cooked meals meant to me. Whenever I needed a break from studying or volleyball practice, I headed over to the Lairds house. I also got to watch these two fine young ladies, Erin and Shannon, grow up and I think of them as sisters.  If you know the Laird family then you know how much they love to laugh and enjoy each others company.  It is easy to see by these pictures how close they really are. Thanks you again for all that you have done for me- love you!
