Shortly after the sun passed behind the ridge, we made our way down the pass to catch a few more minutes of warm light. We started their session just north of the Ice Arena in Breck and then made our way up to Boreas Pass for the final bits of light. A bit before we made our way back to the vehicles, it began to snow, giving us some fun back-lit photos. These two were a blast to work with and we cannot wait for their Chapel at Beaver Creek ceremony followed by their Camp Hale reception.

Usually when couples are not accustom to the cold, they look frigid during the first part of a session, but not Robert & Elizabeth. In fact, they were looking forward to the end of our session so they could go all in on a snowbank. There wasn’t a spot on them not covered in snow.

Between the beautiful backdrops, warm light, and fluffy fresh snow, these two quickly fell in love with all Colorado had to offer. From my end, watching Robert & Elizabeth interact and enjoy a field of snow to themselves made me quickly realize how great of a couple they are. Their youthfulness and love from each other shined with each snowball and kiss.

Shortly after making our way back down, we headed over to Sapphire Point in hopes of a beautiful Colorado Sunset. While we don’t always luck out with a cotton candy sky, the backdrops on top can’t be beat. Chris & Tonya were just fine with a slight detour off the path and straight to the top, which is something we absolutely love about our couples.

We started off their engagement session at the Sawmill Museum, right next to one of the best mountain bike trails in Colorado (Aspen Alley). After a quick stroll, we headed in town for a cup of coffee and some good conversation about theses two’s Vail Wedding.

Ending up their engagement photos, we walked Boreas Road to one of our favorite overlooks. Once here, its easy to oversee the entire town of Breckenridge as well as the ski resort. We had a blast with these two and all the energy they bring. Their Donovan Pavilion wedding will be nothing short of moment after moment of good times.

Nick & Victoria showed up smiling and by the end of the night we were all laughing. They had an energy to them that was contagious and it was very easy to document their love. At the end of the shoot we drove up to a big rock formation that we wanted them to climb. Trent and I told ourselves at the beginning of the shoot we would feel them out and see if we thought they would be comfortable for us pushing them up the rock wall. Without any hesitation, they were standing on top, a bit chilly, but still smiling. We told them it would be worth it and that is all they needed to hear.

Seth & Bethany are from Indiana and were visiting the Summit County area in search of their wedding venue. They reached out to us about shooting their Breckenridge Engagement session a while back, so we made it happen during a quick visit to the area. Having shot at Sapphire Point a few times, we’ve never actually made it to the top, so why not take a formally attired couple in high heels up a mountain side for a few photos?
