Kellen & Nicole’s Frisco Winter Engagement

Its been a crazy winter so far and the lack of precipitation is starting to show. The cold, however, still makes its presence known. We started off Kellen & Nicole’s Frisco Winter Engagement Session in the sun and ended on top of Sapphire Point with frigid toes and fingers. Their new puppy rocked it the entire way through.

During their engagement session, Trent discovered that Kellen was also a woodworker, which led to those two talking about their favorite lumber suppliers and power tools. Nicole and I could only shake our heads with a grin.

These two are getting married at Crooked Willow Farms this fall and while it should be warmer, the same love will be radiating from these two like it is in these photos. Enjoy a few of our favorites from their Frisco Winter Engagement session.

Amos’ Frisco Family Session

It finally feels like summer up here in Summit County and I was thrilled to be able to kick it off the season with the Amos’ Frisco Family Session. We spent the evening exploring around Lake Dillon where Olivia showed off her walking skills. I couldn’t get enough of how she wrinkled her nose when she smiled for the camera and, well, those big soft eyes will melt just about anyone. It seems like just yesterday I was photographing this sweet little girl’s newborn photos.

Happy birthday Olivia! You are such a blessing and I can’t wait to see the young lady you grow up to be. Enjoy the photos.

Giglio Lake Dillon Maternity Session

We love seeing our couples grow their families and even love it more when we can document these life changing milestones for them. Nick & Katie wanted to trek in the snow and see some views for their Lake Dillon maternity session. It started out as a warm winter day but don’t let these smiles fool you. The temperatures dropped and the wind picked but these two were troopers. What I love most about Nick & Katie is there ability to make each other laugh instantly. I often found myself smiling back behind the camera as I couldn’t get enough of their connect.

Congrats to you both on your baby boy and thanks again for getting in the cold for your Lake Dillon maternity session. Enjoy the images.

Jon & Shannon’s Colorado Winter Engagement

While Summit County has seen record snowfall this winter, Denver has been relatively dry, which always makes it fun when couples want to capture their engagement photos in the mountains. The snow adds another element of adventure, but often results in cold feet with plenty of embracing to stay warm.

Jon & Shannon absolutely killed their Colorado Winter Engagement Session, with their two dogs making a cameo as well. Fortunate for everyone, their Camp Hale Wedding will be much warmer. For now, enjoy their engagement photos and be sure to stop back by for their wedding.

Matt & Jamie’s Lake Dillon Engagement

We often tell our couples to “just run” or “tackle him” and Matt & Jamie fit this bill just fine. For their Lake Dillon Engagement, we started with some snowshoeing, without actually having snowshoes, which led us to trudging through 3 foot drifts. “Off the path” is what we tell our couples during consultations, but sometimes there is never a path to begin with.

After some photos with the 10 Mile Range in the background, we drove to the opposite side of Lake Dillon for some beautiful silloute pictures with Buffalo Mountain in the background.

Lastly, we headed up to Sapphire Point for a quick shot of the sunset and a few more laughs, smiles and jokes. Thanks again you two for being such awesome sports as we ran through the elements. Your wedding at 10 Mile Station this fall will now be a breeze. Enjoy the preview of your Lake Dillon Engagement.
