Park Hyatt Beaver Creek

Walk out the back doors and your standing on the slopes of Beaver Creek Resort. We’ve photographed weddings at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek in the winter and summer. We’ve even had couples ski down the slopes, straight into their wedding ceremony. There are several ceremony locations onsite that allow for large or small guest counts. The lawn straight out back offers the most room for a summer wedding. The mountain garden near the spa is more intimate. We’ve also photographed a ceremony on the Crooked Hearth Room Deck for a winter wedding.

In our experience, the staff, lodging and accommodations have always been great. Overall, it is slightly more expensive than some other nearby venues, but the convenient location is hard to put a price on.

Parking at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek

Parking in the Beaver Creek Village can be tricky. The Park Hyatt does offer valet parking if they aren’t too busy. Depending on the season, valet parking can run anywhere from $30 to $80 a night. During off-season times (fall & summer), free parking can be found at either the Ford Hall Garage or the Villa Montane Garage. Both are a short walk to the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. If those aren’t an option, parking at the base in the Elk Lot is also an option. From here, you can ride the Beaver Creek Village Connect Shuttle for free. Their mobile app is the best way to see transit times or even request a ride within the village.

Saddleridge

You would be hard pressed to find a venue with such history and authenticity. SaddleRidge in Beaver Creek has some of the most unique pieces of history, including Buffalo Bill’s desk and one of three George Washington paintings used for the dollar bill. The reception hall is wide open with tall vaulted ceilings and enough space to fit a good amount of guests. Many modern venues feel sterile, but SaddleRidge gives you that homey feeling.

It’s located within walking distance of the Beaver Creek Village, but on the outskirts so you don’t feel surrounded by condos & commotion. The ski trail located behind the main building is a great first look spot too. There aren’t many venues these days that feel as authentic as SaddleRidge at Beaver Creek.

Keystone Ranch

Nestled just outside of Keystone, CO, and only a few minutes from the interstate, Keystone Ranch is a quaint little venue that offers both intimate small and large weddings. In the winter months, the venue is limited to the smaller lodge. In the summer months, the ranch is quite expansive with plenty of outdoor ceremony spots. While the ranch doesn’t run a full staff to qualify as a full-time venue, we highly suggest using a planner to help organize.

Beaver Creek Lodge

With the lodge being in the heart of Beaver Creek, its fun for your guests, easy to get to and includes lots of ceremony options. The Chapel at Beaver Creek is a short walk away, but there are plenty of other Beaver Creek Wedding Venues to choose from as well. The staff, rooms and reception spaces here are great.

Spruce Mountain Ranch

The Ranch has several options for ceremony and reception sites and can service a very large wedding. The property is beautiful, well maintained and has a great vibe. You can theme it chic, western or modern. The cabin is our favorite of the two wedding prep and reception spaces. Overall, Spruce Mountain Ranch is a great wedding option with indoor and outdoor locations.

Donovan Pavilion

In 2003, the town decided to purchase 50 acres of space just west of Lionshead to build out an event space. The Donovan Pavilion, while owned by the Town of Vail, doesn’t feel like your average municipal wedding venue.

It is nestled in the forest, all the while being right on the South Frontage Road, meaning you are minutes away from some world-class lodging. In the summer months, couples can use the outdoor patio to have their wedding ceremony. In the winter months, the inside area is large enough to host a ceremony and reception with not too much flipping.

The room feels very large with it’s high ceilings, so we only suggest the Donovan Pavilion for medium to larger weddings. With that said, it is a beautiful space with its massive chandeliers overhead.

For photography, the premise isn’t going to give you any mountain views. A short drive to East Vail can get you some beautiful backdrops of the Gore Mountains though.

We photographed many of weddings here and every one has gone off without a hitch, in part to its wonderful staff and management. There is no reason why the Donovan Pavilion wouldn’t make our list of favorite Vail Wedding Venues.

Devil’s Thumb Ranch

As one of Colorado’s premier wedding venues, this place has it all. With on-site lodging for you and your guests, you can make a weekend out of your wedding day or travel in from one of the surrounding towns. Devil’s Thumb Ranch is situated in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, secluded from any distractions. The scenery lends itself to endless amounts of beautiful backdrops and has plenty of space to explore for portraits.

The staff keep the ranch running at peak performance, regardless of the season. We’ve photographed summer, spring, fall and winter weddings here and have always been delighted with the changes in scenery. It would be hard to pick a favorite season and it really is one of the few venues that can accommodate any size of wedding at any time of the year.

Sapphire Point

The Sapphire Point Overlook is a beautiful little spot close to all the major ski resorts. The views are some of the best in Colorado as it looks over Dillon Lake, on to the Tenmile Mountain Range. You’ll need to provide all your own amenities, but if you are looking for an intimate, do-it-yourself wedding, this location is perfect. Its one of our favorite Colorado Wedding Venues for elopements and smaller weddings.

From the parking lot, it is a short 5 minute hike to the actual overlook. It is open to the public, unless reserved. To reserve it, you’ll need to contact the Dillon Ranger District.
