In May, we photographed Charlie & Kelsi’s engagement photos in downtown Denver. We spent the session exploring the Denver Milk Market before running into a women’s football team, who insisted on putting Kelsi on their shoulders for a portrait. She was all about the spontaneity and living in the moment. It was this moment that let us know their Fall Vail Wedding at the Sonnenalp was going to be an absolute blast.
We started the day by photographing both sides of the wedding party at the luxury resort in Vail. They could see each other’s room, but we did our part in keeping them each hidden from the other. After everyone is dressed, we headed up Vail Mountain for their first look amongst the golden aspen trees. Both Charlie & Kelsi’s mothers joined and made good use of their handkerchiefs. Once the tears were wiped away, we continued on with some fall portraits before making our way back to town for their Sonnenalp Wedding.
The ceremony was officiated by a good friend who kept it funny, personal, but also intimate to these two. Once their vows were exchanged and the kiss was had, they made their way back down the isle to a enthusiastic cheer from all their closest friends and family.
Everyone enjoyed dinner in the glass ceiling reception space of the Sonnenalp before the DJ turned up the volume and got the party started. These two danced the night away and we don’t think Kelsi ever left the dancefloor. Congrats you two on your Fall Vail Wedding at the Sonnenalp.
