National Parks never disappoint, which is why Rocky Mountain National Park is one of our top favorite locations for engagement photography. Just outside of Estes Park, its a quick drive up highway 34 or 36 depending on where you are coming from. Once inside the large park, the options for your engagement photos are endless. Some of our favorite spots are Sprague Lake, Moraine Park, Fall River Road and Trail Ridge Road. With so much land area, its hard to encapsulate the entire park in one session, but with some careful planning, you can grab a good variety of backdrops.

We also want to mention that National Parks require permits for commercial photography, which includes engagement sessions. We are a permit holder for RMNP.

That photo is on the very top of Trail Ridge Road near the visitor center. The mountain in the background is Longs Peak.

So beautiful! I miss the Rockies and Trail Ridge. Was that header shot taken at sunrise or sunset?
